leaking water pump - video

I think my water pump is leaking. Here is a video:

Any ideas on what steps I should take and how serious this leak is? Looks be about 3 drips a second.

I replaced the impeller in April of this year.

Thanks!

Graham, your rear seal is shot. Did you replace it? If not it is rather easy but one caution. Caution, inspect the "shaft" where the seal rides for wear. A bit is fine however a grove may not seal with a new seal.

Nicely maintained A-4 from the vid~~kudos.

Oops

Be sure and check the bearing for wear if not a ball bearing pump too.

Thanks Dave, I did not replace the rear seal when I did the impeller.

I'll purchase that seal and inspect the shaft and ball bearing when I have everything apart.

Looking at this parts page what would you suggest I order? I believe I have an Oberdorfer 202M series pump given the 4 bolts on the square back plate.

is "Product No. - CSOB_04_65" what I need?

Do I need to grease the impeller shaft before I put it all back together?

It is not in the directions to grease the shaft. However I feel better if I grease the shaft before I push it through the seals. I also twist the shaft a bit in both directions as I push it through the seals. It makes for a smother install.

TRUE GRIT

Sounds reasonable to me - thanks. I'll add a bit of grease to help with initial install.
