    Distributor stuck, can’t remove it

I am in the process of installing a new water jacket side plate, and had to put in repair studs in most of thee holes. Now in order to slide the plate onto the studs, I need to remove the distributor (for one minute) because the two studs at the very back of the plate are two close to the distributor to slide the plate over them. I disconnected the two incoming wires, removed the distributor cap and hold down bracket, but the distributor does not budge. I can rotate it slightly with great force but am afraid of forcing anything. I have bathed it in kroil oil and tapped on it but no joy. I had the thing out a couple of years ago for some trouble shooting and all has been well, except for the leaky water jacket.

Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

more penetrant, more patience, and not too much brut force...
Try a mix of ATF and Kroll, spray at the top everyday, with sligt taps up and down and use any available rotation... and repeat.

When I removed mine, it was frozen in place, I then had to destroy whatever was left inside with hammer and scewdrivers... it was not pretty
But if the "finger" moves, even slightly, there is hope.
