Holy cow! They went right on by! -
The Tiki Bar doesn't open for 4 weeks. The Friday after tax day, so I guess you got a free night's berth. We'll see you the next time around the Patuxent, or when we make it to the Choptank! P.S.> Great trip. Thanks for letting us tag along.

Thanks all for the welcome home it was great to take you all with us!
We did try to stay moving for the most part like Mo said, we wanted to see and sail as much as possible. Sorry we missed you Shawn, we were there from around 4am to 7:00am Took a break the weather was so good ( relatively speaking ) we just kept going. After a look at the radar it was a good move, large storm and a blow coming. We sailed out of Hampton on a beam reach with 25 knot winds and riding the tide.It was a great start coming into the Chesapeake at 7.9 knots. The wind died and the A4 purred like a kitten all the way to Cambridge. After the second tune up the fuel consumption is down to .95 GPH. We used three sets of plugs, the last set by choice. A set of plug wires, rotor cap, rotor button, new coil resister.Three tune-ups, Not bad for such a long run. The electric fuel pump had to be replaced too. Eight oil changes were performed, the whole trip ( 2783 miles ) the A4 didn't burn any oil I am very pleased with the performance, durability and reliability of the A4. It powered us through an eight knot current at two knots running at 2200 RPMS. Through six foot plus swells with a roar under our feet. We used less fuel on the way North than South, I contribute this to wind and current in our favor. We had a great run and some awesome sailing burying the rails in the water from time to time. Nothing like dropping the hook and seeing it on the bottom! So many cool places to see on the ICW, Gulf and the Okeechobee Cut. If you get a chance I highly recommend the trip. What do you all think about pizza and a cold brew at Sammy's Pizza in Annapolis this coming Friday around 7:30 pm?

Cool, we will be there... It might be a good idea to call and let them know how many are going so we get seated easy.
Let me know and I will call tomorrow afternoon late.

So, last night, seven of us met at Sammy's for drinks, pizza, and lies (err...sailing stories).
Present were Paul & Trina, Don, James (Hymodyne) and his wife Jane, and myself and my wife Joan. I forgot my camera, but Paul took a few shots with their iPad which I hope he'll post here. The pizza and the company were both excellent. Paul, Trina, you're an inspiration to us all!
