Block, head or manifold pressure test
Just read a post from Don Moyer from 2004 explaining how to do a pressure test while engine is still in the boat using bicycle pump with a built in pressure gauge. This particular post was regarding an early model engine. Can this same test be done on a late model A-4? Thanks, Bob

Bob,
Give it a try - what do you have to lose? Old/newer engines are similar enough that the same techniques should work. Key is to identify a cracked block before spending work on restoration. Cracked heads/manifolds are replaceable. |
