What a Deal

For those who might be in the market for new fenders, I think I might have stumbled upon the deal of the century.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=110740372318

Mine arrived today and they're everything that was promised plus free U.S. shipping. Time will tell how they hold up.

What a Deal

I bought 6 of these bumpers (fenders) in that size last year. This is the 1st year of using them and I have absolutely no complaints. They are tough and hold their pressure well. Also the vender was great to deal with.

To keep this on topic, how many of these fenders are needed to roll an A4 out from under the cockpit? Can they be shoved under the oil pan and then inflated?

I suppose they could but please don't consider this an endorsement. Seems like a shaky idea to me.

As these are unreinforced vinyl I don't think they'd survive.

Smile

Al,
I was having a beer one day and thinking of how I'd pull my engine out into the cabin. Here's what I was thinking.
-tarp or old quilt on cabin floor.
-jack engine and slip 1/4 plywood, with hook hole drilled in the end of it, under engine.
-lower engine onto plywood.
-rig come-along around mast (keel stepped) and hook to plywood.
crank ....and out she comes.
-then use what ever is available (mast crane, boom, boom truck) to lift up through companion-way and off the boat.
