Removal of oil pan

i got a Atomic four for free and am starting to play with it . I discovered it has a cracked oil pan after cleaning up the resulting mess. a started to work on taking the pan off. I removed the flywheel and housing an all the bolts on the oil pan. Is it possible to remove the the oil pan with out removing the gear housing ?
