Ok, what is the trick to post pics?

I have the picture uploaded to Google Photos and have the URL to share it. When I click on the "insert image" button, it creates and [IMG entry with the URL in it... but it disappears when I post.

      Here is the URL

      Thanks,

Small favor, can someone please click on the link above and check to see if the photo of the exhaust stack is "visible" and report back?

I was able to see the photo. I was logged in to google at the time I tried.

          Peter

PS- logged out of google and it still worked

              One more attempt

Edit: Well, that didn't work either, I tried just 'http' vs 'https'

                Test Upload

                Hi, Ron:

I don't think the forum software is recognizing your link as an image.

I downloaded the image to my PC and then uploaded it as an attachment (jpg) and it seems to work fine.

                Bill

                Testing....

                  Bill--

I tried created a public album and successfully uploaded the image. But when I click 'insert image' and paste the URL http://www.moyermarineforum.com/foru...pictureid=2045

                  ...and still no joy.
                  Thanks,

Same issue, I think. The URL is not a link directly to an image.

                        WOO-HOO!! It works! Thank-you!!

So if I want to add picture, I need to use the 'attachments' button and not 'insert image' button.

Now the next question... when do you use 'insert image' ?
                        Thanks,

                          Image inserted:

The URL I inserted was this, pointing to a jpg file:

Attachments can be in a variety of formats. URL's for images must point to files in an image format.

Ok, thank-you. I now understand the distinction, it needs to be web URL that directly references a files with an image format, because it does not upload.
                            Thanks,

Got a question on the coolant passages between the block and the head.

Excluding the oval coolant passageway at the edge of the block by the valves, there are 10 round coolant passage. However, looking at my head I only see 5 matching ports for coolant.

I looked at the gasket on MM and the gaskets matches the block so someone thought about this. Is that something I need to worry about?
                              Thanks,

                                OK, just found this thread:

i wonder if Bill T ever saw any different by drilling out the other 5 ports?
                                Thanks,
