does sound like a fouled prop issue but I would also check/lubricate your distributor advance weights. I have been at this for a long time and have always been taught, thought and read that an A4 carb should have about nominal 2psi pressure and that the higher psi pumps are for boats whose tanks are 4+ feet away from the carb since the pumps tend to "push" better than "suck" scientifically speaking. Facet has pumps in multiple configurations and pressures but the ones from Moyer are probably your best bet for the right configuration. Not sure of your setup.

The carb is about 4 feet from the tank and the model I purchased was one of 2 that I saw Moyer marketing.

I'll check the advance weights tomorrow but will also change the coil, condenser and points as I now have new ones.
