Zinc in fresh water ?
I have been reading the Prop gone! thread , and decided to pose a question here as opposed to tagging on to that thread ...
I am in fresh water here in Lake Michigan. My float periods are relatively short , 4 months or so. My prop , shaft , and cutlass bearing casting are original (1966) and in good condition. I have no zincs. I see zincs on a lot of other boats hereabouts , but I have grown complacent regarding galvanic action. Comments? Laker
