A-4 Balmar Alternator

Bought in 2005 as a spare and never used. Specifically sold by West Marine for A-4 engines.
1) Balmar 812-65 alternator. 65 amps, attached are pics and specs. I have the manuals it came with. $250.
2) I also have a new (purchased at same time ) Balmar ARS-4 multi-stage external regulator. $200. Have all the manuals for that as well. Pics attached.

I have one of those. Remember it is *isolated ground*! It will not work without a ground wire on the ground terminal.

I have a similar Balmer but it is 100 amps. I use an ARS 3 regulator. Have had it for 20 years and still works well.

I reverse rotate it off the flywheel PTO. (need a different fan supplied by Balmer)

My Balmar died
This thread reminded me, I need to drop it off to get fixed. Dang old Motorola works but the bearings are quite noisy.
