Thermostat Gasket

Is there any substitutions for the thermostat gasket that I could get at a local store? I almost have everything back together, but I failed to order the gasket and am trying to avoid the $13 shipping for a $3 gasket. thanks!

Thumbs up Match it

Just take the old one or the housing to a parts store and they can match it. You could probably find one at PEP Boys too.

Would be cool if the last page of the Moyer manual was generic gasket material.

Didn't someone here mention that a $1 bill was about the best waterproof paper ever made? For a t-stat gasket, I might to 2 or 3 layers?
