Does this look normal inside the manifold?

Does any water pass through the manifold. Mine was dry and a titch oily. If so and water is not entering could it be my tstat?

Another note, I'm only getting up to 105 during idle and maybe 120 under load. Raw water cooled.

I believe your photo is of the dry, exhaust from combustion, half of the manifold and is normal. The outer area carries the water. The dry area is wrapped by the wet half. Two separate systems. No mixing until the wet/dry connection in the exhaust.

Is this part of chasing the same low power issue? As Dan said, the exhaust passage pictured looks pretty normal to me. 105°~120° RWC is normal depending on the surrounding water temp (late model cooling system).

I have the 140 degree thermostat. Shouldn't I at least be running there. I tested the stat and it does indeed open and close. Still chasing it Neal!

I also had the 140° stat when I was RWC. I never saw a temp above 120°, never a performance problem either. I now have no stat, FWC (a game changer) and run around 180°.

Seems you never know with the t stat. I have FWC, and the original T-stat. I run a very steady 180.

I also have RWC on Lake Champlain. This year, I am only getting temps up to around 150 so far. I run the old Holley thermostat which I confirmed begins to open at 150.
