oil pressure switch
Does anyone know if there is a way to bench test an oil pressure switch that isn't installed in the engine? I've got a bad one and want to test a couple of old ones I have laying around and don't want to go through the process of removing, installing, running, rinse/repeat..

let me add a little history. I had problems with the switch opening after the engine ran for about thirty seconds. When I ran a hot wire directly to the fuel pump, the engine ran beautifully. Has anyone else had this experience?

Did you just jump the switch, or did you run a whole new source of power to the fuel pump?
Is there a fuse in the power lead to the fuel pump? Bill |

I ran a wire from the positive lead on the battery to the fuel pump, I think. No fuse. Oil pressure holds steady at 40 psi.
