I launched off my trailer today after a bit of trouble getting her out into deep enough water. The bottom was so rough the trailer was literally stopped by holes or debris...have to sort that out.

Pearson 30...very good boat. They are very solid and forgiving. This morning before launch I did some work on a Pearson 30. We drilled a drain hole in her last fall in case water got inside during the winter. My friend called me last night to see if I could make it look pretty for a survey on Friday. Faired around the new plug with epoxy /glass /beads to keep her smooth.

The current owner is new to the boat and I'll have a look at her in the coming days to ensure the engine is good to go. I hang around the club with the previous owner and did some of the work on that engine until he was comfortable with it. I get along great with her current owners as well but they both are military and have very demanding jobs. Therefore, us guys "at large" don't mind helping friends. Helped them winterized her last fall so I don't anticipate any issues...maybe a mixture adjustment...maybe not. If we keep on top of these little beasts they are raring to go come spring.

P30 - I have owned my Catalina 30 since Sept 2008. I am still working on her, and doing structural, cosmetic and electrical work this winter. It is a long process, and it sounds like you've been really busy the last few years!

          Welcome!
