Fuel flow problem

I recently cleaned fuel tank, replaced filter and added 5 gallons of gas. I have no flow from fuel tank to gas filter input line when cranking. Could the fuel trol on top of tank be the problem. I blew compressed air back thru copper line and heard gurgling inside the tank which should indicate that the line and intake are not clogged. Any ideas?

Gary-
What kind of filter (s) do you have?
Are you sure you have the connections correct for IN and OUT?
Is there a fuel shutoff valve on the tank?
Is your Fuel Pump Electric or Manual?

Electric or mechanical fuel pump? Maybe needs to be primed?

Fuel flow

The filter is an older Fram. I only changed the cartridge. There is a in line ball valve shut off. The fuel pump is mechanical. The in and out are connected properly. The fuel tank is equipped with a Fuel Trol solenoid, it's purpose is unknown to me.

Have you tried turning the manual override on the valve to 'bypass'?
Is there power to the terminals when cranking?
Is the oil level too high and does it smell like gasoline?

You might consider an outboard type inline squeezy bulb (temporary only) ahead of the fuel pump to try and purge the air from the new filter and perhaps a temporary outboard fuel tank for testing purposes.

Gdo
The Fuel-Trol solenoid opens the fuel flow when the ignition is on and shuts it off when the ignition is off. Thus, when the power is off, no gas can leave the tank, regardless of the condition of the lines and valves downstream. It's an excellent safety device.
