Free: Two salvaged A4s for pickup in Southern Maryland
I got two complete engines from a mechanic on Craigslist a couple years ago for $100. They were both pulled from re-powered sailboats. I never ran either one, but they appear to be a good start for rebuild, repair, or just parts. In exchange for my free offer, I'd like someone to take the whole lot off my hands.
I completely disassembled one (some of the parts pictured), but didn't touch the other one at all (other picture). Both were complete engines, so not everything is pictured. I reserve the right to pull a few pieces as spares for my own boat, but if you want something specific let me know and I'll make sure you know for sure before you drive. It's the age-old tinkerer's story: I have moved on to other projects and would like to free up the space. Also, I was looking for a rebuild/spare on the assumption that my working engine would have troubles due to overheating, but it's still going strong!

Scratchee, thanks. What sort of schedule are you on in terms of getting the engines, etc., out? When works for you? I would probably need to Shanghai Son #2 to help with transport.
