    The (-) coil terminal is NOT a ground. You secondary lead spark test should have been to the block or head.

      Sure, however doing that was impossible as I did this test in the comfort of my shop bench. In my set up, the coil (-) terminates on the Distro via a screw that would have held the condenser in place. A meter check verifies that this point on the distro is GND/(-). Either way, my test proves that the coil is OK.

      I was also able to verify that the EI is good by powering up the IGN power and metering the Vdrop while I truned the motor over.

      Really all that there is left to try is; A) jumping new wire from the BATT/IGN switch to coil, (bypass the switch) and B) Changing out the IGN coil wire (Secondary)

      I should have this wrapped up by Haulout..
