Simplest bypass of ammeter without access to wire?
Hey all. I believe my ammeter is shot. I can read power out of my alternator using a multimeter to ground, and power from the left post of my ammeter to ground, but not across the positive to negative posts of the ammeter, and the ammeter shows zero when the engine is running, even at high rpms. I'm mid-trip and currently have limited access to wire; can I bypass my ammeter by just taking the red wire off the right post and put it in contact with the other red wire and orange wire on the left post? Thanks all.
