solenoid or not
I currently have a sealed Cole hersee ignition blower switch that has 14 g wire for the ignition circuit leading to the coil. This wire is feeding a 1.5 ohm resistor, the coil for electronic ign ,fuel pump and another 1 ohm resistor leading to a fresh water cooling pump . I think this is a lot for that little wire to handle even though it is less than a 5ft run, do you think it would be advisable to use the the wire to activate a continuious duty solenoid to power all this stuff or am I ok

Not!
Excluding the blower load you're looking at 6 amps on the very short 14 gauge wire. According to my handy wire gauge calculator, allowing for a maximum 3% voltage drop your current setup is good for 26 amps.
I wouldn't load it beyond 15 amps though.
