Shift/Throttle Control

My '76 Oday 27 needs a replacement for the shift/throttle control, dual lever.
Side mounted on the starboard side of the cockpit. Any thoughts on a source?

Hi, my shift / throttle controls on my Ericson 1973, 27' are ok, so I can't help with where to get new controls, but I could use the bracket on the back side that is mounting them. This is original to the boat so I don't think I could ever find one. Looks like I'll have to custom fab. one, unless someone has any idea on this.

If you have adventure in your heart you might consider this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DUAL-LEVER-S...c34fe6&vxp=mtr
and make a different connecting piece where the shift cable attaches to accommodate a 64C cable.

Buy and modify, cut to form and beat to fit.

Wow! Those shift handles must be made of gold!

Since you are only looking for the support bracket I'd guess buying a new $600 set of controls will be your absolute last option.

It seems to me that with all the boats destroyed by h'cane Sandy that there must be some place where a lot of salvaged hardware ended up. I don't know if this outfit does that or not.

Even paying a good metal fabricator to make you a new part would likely cost a lot less than the price of new.

I have the same situation on the same boat. I have the new Vetus SISCO unit and will be fabricating an adapter for the different shift length. Contol is 3" travel and the engine a 2" travel. Haven't been in too much hurry as I am more focused on sailing but will post my method soon.
