Question exhaust/cooling question

I have a 1982 Catalina 27 with an Atomic 4. I've owned the boat 3 years and the engine has always run fine. Today I was checking my boat out and started the engine. As always I looked over the stern to check the discharge, and noticed I had water coming out of only the port outlet. Am I in trouble? Is there a logical explanation for this, or a systematic way to start looking for a blockage? I would have explored further, but the temp today is 102 with no wind.

Geo

Is it possible that exhaust cooling water always flowed only out of one exhaust. It seems strange that your catalina 27 would have two exhaust pipes. Maybe I'm missing something on your problem but my A-4 and all the A-4s I've ever seen just have one exhaust outlet for cooling water. Sorry if I misunderstood your problem.

Hi Geo.
.I have a 1983 27' Catalina...Mine runs out just the port side. I have never seen a dual exhaust...Take some pictures and post...

How do you spell dumb

Thanks for the quick responses. I think I was struck by being a little, no a lot dumb. Just had never paid that close attention before on the discharge. Found out later that there was only the port discharge from the engine. Call me red faced.

Sounds like the easiest fix ever. Glad you don't have a problem.
