capn Ken, I had trouble with the one closest to the exhaust side, and needed to overdrill and insert the oversized stud.
Here is what I did...I removed the manifold, and left the two good studs in place, and cut the new threads with a tap. You can almost eyeball it, but I got it level on the horizontal plane with the other studs a straight edge. I think I used Permatex #1, the kind that hardens, and after threading it in, I carefully put the manifold in place, loosely put nuts on the two good studs, and supported the manifold while the Permatex hardened...after a couple days, I put the nut on the repaired stud and it has held just fine for several years.

She is even happier with fresh paint on the topsides!
