The revival of this thread is timely for me. Just yesterday I started adding the bits and pieces of the MMI FWC kit.

I discovered that luckily for me, the heat exchanger will fit inside the small engine compartment. It will make things a little more crowded, but I don't think it will be horribly so. I was concerned I was going to have to squeeze it in behind the rear bulkhead, under the cockpit, which would make it a P.I.A. to get at.

Anyhow - how critical is it that the heat exchanger be mounted perfectly vertically? What if it is mostly vertical but tilted at say, 10 or 20 degrees off vertical? It would be tilted such that the horizontal arm with the fill cap remains level and horizontal - i.e., imagine rotating it around that axis - not tilting it so that the horizontal arm ends up at an angle. I am assuming that to do this would not be an issue.
