Just a suggestion

Hmm... my A4 has been (I presume) re-wired at some point with a pre-made wiring harness leading to the instrument panel. It has all the proper-colored (but maybe not proper gauge) conductors made into a cable with QD's at the end. I assume that it's after-market because there are several coils of slack zip-tied up in the lazarette. I wonder where it came from?

Anyway, it seems as if a nice way to do it might be such a cable (with the proper gauges of wire) AND a fuse box / terminal strip for either end all set up for the proper fuses or circuit breakers. At least, that's what I'm aiming for.
