I tried to get the shaft coupling apart, but...
I tried to get the shaft coupling apart, but couldn't get a pipe wrench to hold it. Every time I tried the wrench just swiveled and fell off.
I have pretty poor access and can't really get two...

I would remove the two hoses & fittings going...
I would remove the two hoses & fittings going into the exhaust manifold and look at the fittings. I found one of mine was almost totally blocked.
Also pull the thermostat and check for proper...

Rear oil seal replacement
Hi;
I'm getting quite a bit of oil being flung around the shaft coupling. Looks like the coupling/rear seal need replacement.

I really thought the dirty fuel was going to...
I really thought the dirty fuel was going to solve the leak, but no go. Same symptoms, ran fine, but then gas leaked out the needle valve.
I ended up just ordering a new carb as I was out of time....

Polishing Filter P/N?
Running out of time, need to try to find a 10 micron 5/16" hose barb metal polishing filter. Moyer has one that's 7-10 micron. Everything at local parts stores is 20 micron, ie WIX 33012.

Leaking Carb
Arrgh.
My carb seems to be leaking gas. After servicing it now 3 times and checking the float, replacing the needle valve and seat, it's still leaking.
Frustrating, as otherwise it runs...
