odd motor start problem - aging wiring?
I've had this problem off and on for a year or two. Its intermittent and I can't figure out when its likely to occur. I'll start the engine - if its cold or its been a while it'll take a few tries....

I got my new facet pump yesterday from MMI and plan to fit it tomorrow. Assuming that a bit of destroyed rubber from the fuel pump is the culprit - where is it ? and how should I approach the carb?...

facet pump mysteries
I opened up my facet fuel pump today, and discovered that the black *washer* around what I take to be the intake valve (see pic) was soft and gummy and I could pick bits off with my fingernail....
