With the engine running pour a cap full of MMO in the carb. You'll get a cloud of smoke out of the exhaust and it should make any exhaust leak obvious.

I wasn't the only one, I saw 3 or 4 boats out sailing. It was in the mid-50s yesterday and pretty warm in the sun. Our water is down to 45 :(
I am not going to winterize the engine this year...

Barnacles on the prop or a really over-pitched prop would show up about the same. This photo is after a bottom cleaning, but being badly over-pitched will cause the same problems as barnacles....

Be aware there is a lower limit for them. The discharge water is colder than the inlet water by a few degrees, so when it gets close to freezing the water freezes up in the coils.

Radiator heaters surely can work well with FWC engines, the coolant from a RWC engine is liable to be not that hot and many heater cores are not designed to deal with salt water.
