Looking for an A-4 mechanic in Rhode Island

I am in the market for a mechanic to help service my A-4. It's in a 1977 C&C 30 located in Barrington, RI.

I would appreciate any recommendations from this group.

Thanks so much.

Buy the Moyer repair book...the A4 is labor, but not hard to fix. Besides, you won't have a mechanic at sea.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely buy the manual.

Old Lyme Marina in Old Lyme, Connecticut (860/434-1272 = ask for service)

They might be fairly close to you.

There used to be an A4 man at Apponaug Harbor Marina 401-739-5005, but this is an old lead.

13 years later any update on this from the collective consciousness of the group?

I’ve been taking apart my A4 due to low compression. Head, manifold, carb, and alternator are all off. Compression test had #1-60, #2-20, #3-20, #4-0. Gaskets looked clean, oil looked clean, valves seem to move freely/unencumbered. We’re going to be sticking with the rebuild but it would be nice to have a recommended mechanic in the back pocket. Appreciate the help.
