As to rpms and head gaskets:
I am only using one head gasket, and last outing turning 3600rpm direct drive.
In my tuning process in my planning hull, I got an increase in rpms with headgasket...

Not so on FORD late 60's

Basically in 1967-68 Ford installed emission devices. On a automatic trans car had a PCV valve and a manual trans car had a thermactor smog pump.
The vacuum source was a plate under the carb or off...

I really don't see needing a large exhaust exit from the manifold as of yet.
a 2,000 max rpm average rate engine that is only making upwards of teens of HP at that point, and is 6 to 1 compression...

If you have a resistor on the negative side, then you don't have to worry as much about mounting location, and about something laying against it and shorting it, as it's already on the ground side?
