Another tip: Don't rely on that pivot bolt to ground the alternator to the engine. Run a separate wire from the alternator case to the engine block (or your ground block).

Personally I am a big fan of the synthetic oils as they do not break down as fast which is the only reason for the "extended" life. As far as the MMO synthetic I would guess it would work much better...
