    Temp and Oil Pressure Gauges

    Hello all!
I have a 1970 vintage A4 and the only gauge I have is a Ammeter. I'd like to add a temp and oil pressure gauge but not sure where they attach at the motor. I assume the oil goes behind the flywheel on the carb side (The PO has a gauge stuck there to monitor) but not sure where the temp sender attaches.
I see there are many sender/gauge units sold by Moyers and am familiar with installing them but I'll be dogged if I can figure out where the temp sender goes.
If you have any info or idea of an existing thread that shows it I'd sure be appreciative.
    Happy sailing...

Look at the front end of the engine on the panorama view on Moyer's website-- there's a brass hex head plug on that view just below the thermostat housing on the head-- to the left and above the oil fill cap. That's where the temp sender goes.
You're right about the oil pressure sender-- just behind the flywheel on the carb side.

        Thanks for the info!

Thanks Mark for the tip. I do remember seeing the plug and will explore.

Rascal-thanks for the kind words-we remember when we sail and enjoy life someone paid a large price for our freedoms. I wish I could find his family so they would know he's not forgotten but until then...we remember.
Best regards to you and happy sailing.

Lubber - check with your Congressman, he might be able to locate the family through the military records. He'd probably be happy to help with something like this, especially if it might make a nice human interest story in the local paper.
