Don't need help with my Atomic 4

Cheers everybody. I've had my share of engine issues in the past few years. Some were resolved with help from this forum.

Today I went out for what was really my first day of actual sailing this season, and I'm happy to say she started right up (prior problem #1), and ran for about an hour total at 160 degrees (prior problem #2).

Sometimes it's disheartening to have to reach out with a problem. So today I'm doing the opposite and reporting no problems at all!

    Maybe.
It sure beats the alternative of not having a resource like the forum available.

I purchased my boat from its first owner in early 1983. While I was in the process of buying the boat I asked to have a look at the dipstick. The bozo didn't even know where the dipstick was! I sold the boat ~ 1 1/2 years ago. Nobody but me so much as touched the A4 while I owned the boat. Really. I think it is safe to say nobody but me so much as touched the engine since the boat left the factory in 1980.

No form in those days. If I had a problem I had to noodle it out myself. There was a sort of a "informal" forum around the dock but it seems that I got as much good advice as bad advice on engine problems.

I joined the forum in 2008. What an eye opener. I was amazed the breath of knowledge available. Plus I like the company - the best I've ever experienced. This is why I hang around even though I sold my boat a year and a half ago.
You'll are the greatest! Ever! I'm proud and humbled to be a member.
