Thanks, everyone. I do run 87 in the motor along with Marine StaBil. I don't have reasonable access to non-ethanol gas here in SoCal. It did make me wonder if I should ream the main jet a tiny bit to add some fuel on the top end. I had to do that on my Porsche 914 that I race (carb conversion), but...

I'm using the Pertronix unit from MM. I do plan on checking to make sure the advance is working properly and then power timing it. I believe I set the float to the default value of 1 5/32"
I've not adjusted the valves since my ownership, but they seem fine (not noisy).

Hull speed is reportedly about 6.8Kts and I can almost reach that. I think I'll make sure the distributor is advancing properly and then retime it next.
I did a head gasket on it a few years ago (it failed), but I've never bothered to do a compression test.
It has a rebuilt...

Indigo Prop
I just installed the Indigo prop along with an all new 316SS wet exhaust and am pleased with the upgrade. I can cruise easily at 6kts now on my 1972 Ranger 33.
