I have an old Xintex MB-1 gas fume sensor that has died. I'm not sure it ever worked. I run my blowers for 5 minutes and sniff for fumes before starting my A-4. So I am wondering if i need a sensor. If I do, has anyone had any experience with the Safe-T- Alert Marine Detector. It's much cheaper than the Xintex. Thanks.
I am planning to add a tachometer to my boat. Aside from the ISSPRO offered by Moyer Marine, are there any other brands that are recommended that might be less expensive? Also, what is the wiring set up?
I am new to the A-4 and have a question about the shifter. When I put it into forward it "locks in" and runs fine. However, when I put it into reverse it doesn't lock. I have to hold it in reverse. Am I missing something?
