    Hello everyone,

Well, I'm sort of new to saling, not boating, but I have a auto mechanics and auto body perspective. Currently, I have been having a little trouble with my water pump. I have 2 actually and I'm going to rebuild them both. They're in great shape (age considering) and I plan to do the upgrade modification. They're the the old style Oberdorfer N202M7 and I guess you can say they look like originals "cherries". Both the impeller shafts have the groove in the center of the shaft from the seal spin, one worse than the other. I've replaced the bearings and impeller in one of the pumps but still have a leak from the pump when engine is running. Is their any tolerance for the groove in the shaft and will this make the pump leak. Also does the new seal (inner) need to be flush with inside opening or seated all the way back. Any help on the matter would be most appreciated.

    Thanks,

    "SHU"
