Just starting to figure out how to get in and out of postings. What were you after and what is your zipcode?

If you have a link for those waterproof boxes and clear covers I would be grateful thanks.

Hi Joe, Hopefully this one will get through. I am very interested in your drive and certain shipping via UPS ground can't be all that bad. I am happy to send you my old drive and you can send it back to MMI for the core charge?

Hi Joe, What sort of price did you have in mind for your spare accessory drive?

Joe, have I asked about your FWC before? I don't remember. Either way tell me what you've got and what's the very least you'll take for it.

Standard practice is all bonds are one system and all DC grounds are another. They would tie together at only ONE point, which if you don't have a dedicated grounding terminal is usually the engine. If you don't ground the engine to the system you will have a DC current path through the water and not be using the zinc to protect the rest. (btw, here is my ground point: http://www.bluesea.com/products/cate...tors/PowerPost)

Also - if you are using this as a lightning ground with shrouds and mast connected, you don't want the engine to be the exit point for lightning! I would tie the mast and shrouds together at a keel bolt or other good lightning ground and branch other bonding out from there.

Joe, been following the Panel discussion and have a sidebar question for you. I have no AC on the boat and just did some rewiring myself. What I want to clear up is the "bonding" ground. Should it just go from the thru-hulls to the shrouds and not be tied to the engine? There is a lot of "groundable material" tied to the engine via the propshaft and strut. My "strut" is grounded to the engine via a separate wire, is that good or (?) eek?
