I had a machinist seriously botch the re-cutting of my valve seats, the result of which is zero compression in 3 cylinders and only 70lbs in another. I'm looking at getting a seat cutting kit to try and re-center my seats but would want to buy the tool with the correct hardness to cut the block material. I'm thinking tungsten-carbide would be the best but I'm also seeing a lot of cheap carbon steel cutting kits on-line. Would hate to waste money and time on something that won't work. Anyone have any input with these seat cutting tools?
Thanks in advance

Any one know what the material the block is made out of?
