    David Pugh
I am have trouble starting my atomic-4 for the first time this year. I have checked everything I can think of but gas present in the intake and it don't fire. I spayed some either in the fire areaster and it ran for 3 or 4 seconds. This leads me to the carberator but the problem there is I installed a new one last year and hate to take it apart and how is gas entering the intake if the carb is faulty. My compression is 50 on all 4 and goes up to 75 with a few revolutions. Do I need to pull the engine and lap the valves? Last year when I was running 12 hour days the engine used about 1/2 cup of oil daily, I thought that was good since the motor is 50 years old. Before I remove the carb again I could use some help thinking this out.
    Thanks, Dave.
