Update: I was able to replace the hose without disturbing the alternator, distributor and water pump. That's the good news. The bad news is that the leak was not in the hose but in the water jacket side plate. It appears to be a little larger than a pinhole, and is located half way up (or down), and is halfway between the tee fitting and the back end of the plate.
Question: How can I effect repair, if even to get me to the end of the New England season? Does JB weld make sense" Can I drill and tap a threat for a grommet-ed bolt? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've sprung a leak in the hose going from the water pump to the "T" on the side panel of the engine. What is the easiest, less disturbing, way to replace? Do I need to remove the alternator, distributor and water pump? Details?
