Hi. I can't find any way to post a new thread. Can you post it for me please? This is my question:
"With no load on it, at a fast idle speed, my 35 amp Motorola alternator takes over 25 minutes to raise the voltage of my starter battery from its resting charge of 12.6V to 13.5V As soon as I lower the engine revs to a slow idle the voltage begins to drop 0.01V per minute. If I stay at fast idle and turn on the Bilge Blower battery voltage drops more than 0.6V at about 0.05V per minute.
Is this happening because the voltage regulator is not working? Why does voltage keep dropping under load when I'm running the engine more than 1200rpm? Am I draining the battery by running the engine?
I keep the starter battery charging on a solar panel just in case.
I have a quick question for you, in the topic about anodes, Mary was talking about trying to find a MG anode that would fit her limited shaft space. I would like to ask her if she any help in finding one; but I don't if you feel it's appropriate to do so on here as this is your system as I work in a chandlery and some people on here know this. I don't want to be advertising or coming across as doing business. I am happy to just let it be but I would like to get your thoughts and feedback.
Hi there, just joined the forum, great resource! I've tried to post a question in the fuel category without success. Wondering if your forum is closed to new members and queries? Or if I did something incorrectly? I did an extensive search through the topics before posting but couldn't find what I'm looking for. Thanks, Trevor
Bill, my log in has been dropped for the last couple of days and I have been busy and just was watching what was going on on the forum. Being busy I did not bother logging my password back in and today when I went to the forum I was logged in. I find this curious and thought it should be brought to your attention as I did not reenter my password.
Have a weekend, regards Dave Neptune
