I took over 1975 Ericson 32 with A4 engine that uses just raw sea water for cooling.
Lately I have notices that the engine seems to be corroding fast. I want to learn more about proper grounding of engine and how the A4 engine should be ground. I also want to learn and much as possible about ways to prevent the corrosion of the engine and anything touching or part of water cooling system.
I also want to learn about sacrificial zinc anodes and how they may be of help here. I am not talking about those that you attach to prop shaft. I want to learn of any that we could put near or on the engine that would slow or prevent corrosion.
Any suggestions as a good source of information on this topic would be much appreciated.
Is there a place that describes "put the anode anywhere in the cooling system IF the anode is well grounded to the block." in more detail?
