I have a 3 blade 12x6x 1" 3 blade cal 29 I'm thinking of going to a folding geared GORI propeller . I am assuming the 1 inch is the shaft size? Any thoughts or recommendations?

    Hi Mark, Happy holidays!
I have the same boat and engine. Saw your post on the new cable, was it 11’?

    Hi Mo,
I have #476. Got her in 2002. It took me about 5 years to learn to sail her fast. For the past 3 years I've been either 1st or 2nd in our club race series. It's not a slow boat by any means, but it really likes 20+ knots of wind and big waves, and sails best to windward. I've sailed Lake Erie all my life. I've done several short sails (bareboat chartering) in the Caribbean, but that's the only ocean experience I have. I'd love to have the time to log the miles you get. I average about 500 miles per season. Keep in touch-- I'm sure we've come across similar problems with our boats and can undoubtedly help each other out. I thought it was uncanny that we both solved our anchor problem the same way.

Hi Mark, I do have a C&C 30, 1976 hull number 390. Had a C&C 24 prior to that and it took me a while to get used to the 30. I like it now, but initially I felt like I went from a corvette to a caprice classic. Sailed her 2037 nautical miles this year here off Nova Scotia....she's a good sea boat.
Good to see another 30 owner on here.
