    Atomic four valve substitutes

I have read that you can use Volkswagen beetle valves in an atomic four when rebuilding. Does anyone have any specifices on which model to use and what has to be done to the valve to work. Thanks

I cannot even imagine that they would even resemble each other except for they are both valves. Why would a water cooled flathead engine from the USA have the same valves as an aircooled pushrod engine from Germany

Is there a reason not to just buy Atomic 4 valves?
In other news, Atomic 4 engines were never used in Jeeps or tractors

A quick look shows they are not the same diameter to start with.

Thats what I was wondering someone said on a thread that VW valves could be made to work. But I guess not. I do know sometimes car valves can be used from different engines. With a little magic on a valve grinding machine thanks for the response.

I am sure any number of valves could be machined enough to make them fit, but why do that if you can just buy the correct valves in the first place
