Choke Cable Replacement
The choke cable that is in my boat has a very stiff single strand of SS where it is supposed to attach to the choke lever.
I have tries various bracket angles and it just does not seem to stay attached and actuate the choke through the full range. The cable works fine, but i think whoever put it in may have used the wrong cable. I need a long cable to reach to the cockpit of my C-30. Is the cable sold through Moyer multistrand so it will be flexible enough to allow full range of choke actuation? Is there something i am missing? Thanks, Paul |

Paul,
A choke cable almost has to have a solid core or it will flex and not operate the choke properly. The longer of the two cables in our catalog was designed with the Catalina 30 in mind with respect to length, and to the best of our knowledge, no one has had a problem with either of our cable lengths in terms of being too stiff.
