Not only are we in the path of Irene, but we just had a magnitude 5.9 earthquake!

Being on the 18th floor of a building located about an hour away from the epicenter was pretty scary. The floor was bouncing up and down like a trampoline and I could feel the building sway. The whole time I was thinking "there's no way they built this building to withstand any kind of earthquake."

Bill..you are much closer than me..I just started a thread over in the OffTopic/weather section. I guess geological events count as weather.

Pretty weird!

Lightbulb

Bill, here's a link at the bottom.

it is in the "member's only/off topic/weather" section. I know (Administrator) Bill has some restrictions on its access, but I would assume that is to not bombard casual browsers of the forum with minutia, which is exactly why I put it there. We all felt the quake, so no reason to post it out in the A4 area.

I think unverified members and lawyers are restricted from that category.

Neil, evidently you are correct.

When I click on the link, I get a message saying, "you do not have permission to access this page."

I feel so ... left out. <sniff, sniff>
