    I don't trust the fuel in the Chicago marinas. Burnham being worse than Belmont in my personal experience.

      I think I am going to follow your lead and not use Chicago marina gas anymore. For the river run I filled the tank from cans filled w/ top tier premium from nearby Costco. Sure looks like they go through a lot of fuel since I see tankers there almost daily - not sure about the marina turnover. Added lead "substitute" and stabilizer as well. thx

        Sam, no need for the lead substitute! The stabilizer is OK. You would be better off adding MMO or my personal preference TCW-3 (2 stroke premium oil) as a top oil instead of the L/S, far more benefits!!!!

        Take it easy on additives and the combinations therein.

        Using street gas is a very good move~the most important is to use it up within a year.
