Going More Conventional
Ongoing effort to get Destiny ready for the next owner. The alternator controller was never intended to be anything but a temporary coil resistor but I'm just getting around to making the change. The new resistor is a NAPA ICR 13, labeled at 1.82 ohms but actually tested at 2.1 ohms. The coil which I have had for decades tests at 3.7 ohms. As the instruments show I have less resistance than before but still running a cool coil. Volts up about .5 v and amps now about 1.25 amps. See how little current is actually required to run an Atomic 4, preserving the life of the coil.

ah, the venerable H28. I used to sail on one in Adelaide, South Australia. I think it left an indelible mark on my psyche - that's proper boat!
