That's so dumb diesel engine salespeople can't talk smack about the A4.

Thank you very much !! What an excellent way to spend some time during this current situation. I just watched the rev gear adj one, Got a better understanding on the adj process.

With that said, you know the survey there a while ago about drilling and tapping, one of our Club members got himself a C&C 27 with his new purchase he thought he better adj the forward gear, you know in the video Don said make sure you are in the slot or you might break out a chunk when you tighten the locking screw.

Well I can validate that that statement is correct, my friend wasn't sure what to do, so since in my past I had worked in a production machine shop I volunteered to attempt to drill and tap a new hole ( my friend had talked to Don or Ken and they told him to rotate to a new position - get 2 chances I believe ) . So long story short I got my self in position under his cockpit and I drilled and tap him a new hole for his locking screw.

This video this morning just gave me a better visual of what we were doing and attempting to fix.

              thanks again, Chapster5

This is great. For years I've wished Don would present a more authoritative "this is how it's done" position. Well done MMI.

This is great. We are a DIY group of Atomic 4 owners, and YouTube is set up for DIYFers. Keeping useful stuff from ending up in landfills is a noble cause.

I am sure MMI has a lot of ideas on how to expand this. Mine is a video on how to "ethanolize" the atomic 4 so we don't have to be so worried about finding ethanol-free fuel.

Great job and way to share the info. That is only weakness in the current overhaul manual is that few more pictures would have been great addition, and these videos help a bunch.

                      Suggestions for future topics.

The correct installation and orientation of pistons/rings and rods

Installing the cam, lifter, valves and springs and adjusting both I/E valves

Showing the proper oil plugs locations and how to test a rebuild for oil pressure prior to starting
                      Thanks,

                          Great job!

No doubt that it's terrific that Moyer Marine is now on YouTube. More impressive is Don's expert, no BS presentation style. Nice work. Thank you so much Don and company!

Thanks for these, Ron! They've been forwarded directly to Don and Stephen.

                              Playing our YouTube Channel Videos

YouTube has admitted that they're dumbing down the "auto" resolution of their videos lately in response to increased demand. You can still watch ours in HD resolution if you manually set the quality to 1080p.
