Installed Indigo Electric FWC
Here's my engine after installing Indigo's electric FWC system. I did add the coolant tank to the top right space on the bulkhead above the hot exhaust elbow. Sorry its not shown in this photo.
The coolant elbow coming off the manifold goes to a hydronic heater under the port settee and thence to a water heater before returning to the heat exchanger. Total coolant hose length its about 12 ft. Engine temps are fine, but my coolant isn't getting hot enough for the hydronic or water heater to work. I'll sort this out soon. I'm happy to report the electronic system works fine and lends itself to a clean installation. I had the room for the indigo mechanical pump, but didn't want to load up the alternator belt and I figure a 1000 hour life on the pump beats changing yet another impeller. -Micah Last edited by msauntry; 11-28-2010 at 08:01 PM. |
