Cracks in the block

Hey, guys, its great to see that this forum is prospering as always.

So straight to the question:
I have this old A4 cast iron block that I was considering rebuilding. However, it has some hairline cracks and I wonder if I should even bother dealing with it.

Do machine shops ever weld those cracks? Or should I just toss it?
